Namely;
:: To create a space where information can be freely exchanged regarding the activities of the Area D committee
:: For AA groups within NSW Area D to come together and share their experience, strength and hope with each other; to continue to carry the message of AA recovery, and to futher forge our common bond
:: As a resource for individual AA members about meetings and activities in their local area and how they can get involved in AA service
:: And of course for the still-suffering alcoholic to find AA in their local area and discover sobriety, a new freedom, and a new happiness - as many thousands of others have worldwide - through the AA program

Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience , strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and to help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for AA membership; we are self supporting through our own contributions. AA is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution.; does not wish to engage in any controversy; neither endorses nor opposes any causes. Our primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety.
