Well folks, we have finally finished the first issue of the Area D Newsletter. Inside you'll find info on some of the upcoming projects such as the Big Books in Libraries Appeal, PI materials that are available for distribution, a wrap-up of the recent Eastern Region Forum hosted by Area H, positions vacant, T&CF service, some stuff about the web, and upcoming events and news from meetings among other things.
The 2008 Australian General Service Conference Topics are now online at the AA National Website and also on the National Service Website where there are also some lively forum discussions relating to each topic (note: you need to be an AA member and create a log-in to access the contents on the AA National Service Website).
Your group conscience will need to vote on each of these topics so that your group's GSR can bring the voting of the group to the next Area Assembly on the 19th of October.
This is how you as an AA member can have a voice in AA in Australia and what happens - or doesn't happen. This is a very important part of AA's democratic process so remember to schedule your group conscience before this next assembly meeting.
A list of the conference topics can be downloaded here and the supporting documents can be downloaded here.
