Big Books in Libraries Project

June 2008 - As a result of Area G's campaign to ensure every library within that area has a copy of the Big Book, Area D is now about to do the same. Milton, our new PI/CPC co-ordinator, is currently undertaking an audit of all public libraries within Area D to ascertain which libraries do not currently have a copy. We would like to then invite groups to "adopt" their local library and donate a Big Book if it does not already have a copy. Some groups within the Cooks River District have already indicated that they would like to support this project. If your group would like to get involved with this excellent initiative, please send us an email. We will publish the list of libraries that need Big Books here on this web page soon.

Cooks River District Pamphlet Drop

May 2008 - Cooks River District have produced a card with details of meetings within the local area, contacts, as well as the "AA At a Glance" pamphlet, for distribution to doctor's surgeries, police stations, hospitals etc. Any groups within the Cooks River District who wish to be involved in distributing these are welcome to obtain some from us. Currently Tempe Steps group and Earlwood and Bardwell Park meetings are helping out with this project. Please email us if you wish to be involved.
